LADY TÉAQUA
Thometra Foster
Founder and Tea Educator
Thometra M. Foster was introduced to tea as a child by her mother, and that first cup never really left her. Over the years what began as a personal love became something she could not help but share, with her daughters, her family, her friends, churches, and businesses that wanted to bring something genuinely special to their gatherings.
Known to her community as Lady TéAqua, Thometra brings warmth, knowledge, and an elegant touch to everything she does with tea. She has hosted Afternoon Tea Parties and teaches Tea Education Classes covering everything from the History of Tea and Tea 101 to Tea Tastings, Cooking with Tea, Tea Mocktails, and the Christian Tea Ceremony. She is an avid subscriber of Tea Time Magazine and has spent years attending tea conferences and expanding her knowledge of teas from around the world.
Her gift, as her friends and family have always said, is her ability to create quality experiences for the people around her. TéAqua is that gift, extended to you.

How It All Began
Tea is the second most consumed beverage in the world, right after water. It can be found in nearly 80 percent of American households, and on any given day more than 159 million Americans are drinking it. For the Foster household, that statistic was simply a fact of life.
But it took time for Thometra to realize just how many people shared her deep love for tea and how few of them had access to genuinely exceptional loose leaf blends. Whether in her own region or across the country, tea lovers were searching for quality, and not always finding it.
That realization planted a seed. What if someone could help pass along the wonderful and unique culture of tea to families, friends, and future generations? What if that someone was her?
She began to pray about it. And the answer came clearly.
When she heard the words "Pray for success and wisdom to succeed" in her spirit, she understood it as a call to act on what she had been given. Her love of tea, her years of self-education, her gift for creating meaningful experiences, and her desire to share the best of what the world's teas had to offer. TéAqua became a reality.
